The Men’s Cave Down Under gives blokes the opportunity to hang out with other men and to work on projects which help the Cave and the residents of Wongaburra. Just like their shed at home, this purpose-built, well equipped workshop, encourages mateship and comraderie, while engaging men in various woodwork projects.

It has gone from a very basic workshop to a place full of great equipment and lots of activity up to three days a week. The range of items made include toys, planter boxes, desksets, bird feeders, etc to name a few. A lot of the work now is repairs and restoration of projects from the community. You can even order something specially made, like the hand made lectern for a local community church.

The men are very proud of their efforts – all items made are for sale and the proceeds go back into the Cave, to purchase materials and new equipment. It is open to all men from Wongaburra and our surrounding area. It also allows our residents time to socialise with men from the community.
