How can we support you in your own home?

Wongaburra Homecare provides the various support services you need to live independently in your own home.

Flexible support to meet your needs

Wongaburra Home Care provides assistance for older people who wish to remain in their home through individualised tailored support known as ’Consumer Directed Care’ (CDC). This has been given to facilities under the direction of the government to give older people and their carers a greater say about their care type services they receive and how those services are delivered.

Our services include support with domestic tasks, health needs as well as community support  offered through day and evening respite, transport assistance and the provision of a meal during social activities such as Tai Chi, Hydrotherapy, Men’s Shed and ‘FOLKS’ (Friends Old and young Looking at Keeping Socially fit).

Paying for Our Services

Community Care services can be accessed and paid for in a number of ways – from using your Home Care Package to paying privately, or even supplementing your care with additional services to ensure you’re receiving the support you need.

We also offer a wide range of Home and Community Care services through the NDIS and our disability services and the Commonwealth Home Support Program.

Home Care Packages

There are four levels of Home Care Packages in Australia to meet different care needs and the level that you’re approved at is based on the outcome of your Aged Care Assessment (ACAT).
Each Home Care Package level receives a set amount of funding from the government that can be used to pay for care and support services to keep you living at home.

Commonwealth Home Support Programme

The Commonwealth Home Support Programme, often called CHSP for short, are designed to provide light support and is suited to people who can mostly manage on their own and are independent, but may need assistance with some tasks, or short-term help. It is often considered to be the step before a Home Care Package.

Privately Funded

Private home care options offer the same range of care and support services as with a Home Care Package, the only difference is that they are paid for by the customer. Wongaburra's approach to care, qualified and experienced staff and range of customer benefits are also available to our private customers.
