At Wongaburra Homecare, we are proud to support those who have served our country. Through the Veterans’ Home Care (VHC) program, we help eligible veterans and war widows/widowers maintain their independence and continue living safely in their own homes.
Eligible veterans, war widows and widowers can access VHC services if they need a small amount of practical help to remain living independently and safely at home. Eligibility is determined by the Veterans’ Home Care Assessment Agency.
To arrange services, contact the Veterans’ Home Care Assessment Agency on 1300 550 450. They will assess your needs and eligibility. If approved, you can nominate Wongaburra Homecare as your preferred provider.
No. All eligibility assessments are conducted by the Veterans’ Home Care Assessment Agency. However, once you have approval, you are welcome to nominate Wongaburra Homecare to deliver your services.

Yes. The Veterans’ Home Care program is subsidised by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, but a small co-payment may apply, based on the type and frequency of services. The Assessment Agency can provide more information about any fees.
